Bristol & Bath Rum Distillery set to open its doors
The Bristol & Bath Rum Distillery promises a unique experience for visitors when it opens on Park Street.
Spanning four floors in the building that was most recently home to Jamie’s Italian restaurant, the new venue will offer 150 rums from around the world.
It will also have a rum school, where people can enjoy rum-tasting and cocktail masterclasses.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy food throughout much of the day, while businesses can book private rooms for training purposes or celebrations.

The distillery will be open seven days a week from Friday, September 27 – with a launch party planned for October 8.
The bar will boost a selection of spirits, including the super-premium Colombian rum Dictator (which is sold in Harrods for around £1,300 per bottle) and Rum Sixty-Six, a classic rum from Barbados Bajan Rum aged in ex-bourbon casks.
One of the cocktails on the menu is called There and Back Again takes its name from the lane behind the building, and is a blend of rums, with banana, coconut, lime and bitters.

“The city has a rich rum heritage and we’re really looking forward to adding to that story with a brand-new chapter, offering something we believe is different for those drinking and using our fantastic tools of the trade to make their own spiced rums.
“We can’t wait to welcome locals and visitors from across the UK who want to immerse themselves in provenance-led craft rums.”
