Bristol Baker in Young British Foodies Awards

East Bristol Bakery owner Alex Poulter has been shortlisted in the baking category of the prestigious Young British Foodies Awards.

Bristol has pedigree in these awards, with The Ethicurean’s mixologist maestro Jack Bevan winning the alcohol accolade in 2013.

Earlier this year, Poulter cycled more than 300 milesPoulter cycled more than 300 miles to collect the ingredients to make a special loaf for the Food Connections festival.

Also in his category at the awards are bakers from The Exploding Bakery in Exeter, Noisette Bakehouse in Leeds, Loaf in Birmingham and Violet in Hackney, east London.
