Bristol Beer Factory to invest £80,000 in local community
A new community investment initiative from Bristol Beer Factory will see them invest two per cent of their total sales “in activities that uplift local people and places”.
Brewed To Give will give away £80,000 to local charities, registered groups and other good causes through a mix of stock, space and direct support.
The initaiative will offer a range of support options, from cases of beer as a raffle or hamper prize, a pop-up can bar with gazebo, ice coolers and beer, to a purpose-built, fully stocked and managed event bar; as well as offering free use of Studio BBF next to their taproom on North Street for local good causes.
is needed now More than ever
Bristol Beer Factory managing director, Sam Burrows, said: “We have a strong ethos of supporting our local community, but in recent years we have seen the challenges of many incredible charities and groups increasing.
“We wanted to do more to help which is why we have introduced a two per cent community tax on our annual total sales. The more our business grows, the more support we can give.”
Bristol Beer Factory acknowledge that this venture will not be appropriate or accessible to everyone, and so will retain some of the Brewed to Give budget for new collaboration ideas.
Ahaed of Bristol Pride, Bristol Beer Factory announced a sponsorship package with the queer-friendly rugby team Bristol Bisons; and they will also continue to support Talk Club, giving fiver per cent of total Clear Head sales directly to the Bristol-born charity building a mental fitness community for men.
