The 4.8 per cent unfiltered lager was the inspiration behind the brewery, and is brewed using traditional hop varieties, giving the beer its distinct clean, lemony crisp character.
Co-founder of the brewery, Alex Troncoso, said the team was “absolutely buzzing” to have won the award.
“Keller Pils is the beer that started our journey in Bristol, and over the last six years we’ve stuck to our original vision,” he said.
“We are so proud of our entire team for gaining this recognition.”
World Beer Cup winners were selected by an international panel of 272 beer judges from 26 countries. The festival is widely referred to as the “Olympics of Beer”.
Lost and Grounded Brewers was named the UK’s best brewery of the year in December last year at the Brewers Congress Brewing Awards 2022.
At the same awards ceremony in London, the brewery picked up the prize for best beer of the year for their Helles lager.
