Bristol entries in new Michelin Guide
Wallfish on Princess Victoria Street in Clifton Village is a new Bristol restaurant in the Michelin Guide this year.
The bistro, named after the West Country word for snail, is described as offering “careful, classical cooking (which) focuses on good ingredients”.
Casamia in Westbury-on-Trym, the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna and Wilks in Redland all retain their Michelin stars.
is needed now More than ever
Bristol’s three stars gives the city three more than Manchester, but five fewer than Bray, a small village in Berkshire.
Those looking for Moreish – almost opposite Wilks on Chandos Road – listed in the guide, will be disappointed, however, as the restaurant closed earlier this year. But they won’t be disappointed for long as it has been replaced by the fantastic No Man’s Grace.
The other Bristol eateries in the 2015 guide are:
- Albion
- Bell’s Diner & Bar Rooms
- Bird in Hand (Bib Gourmand)
- Bordeaux Quay
- Second Floor at Harvey Nichols
- The Ethicurean (Bib Gourmand)
- Flinty Red (Bib Gourmand)
- Kensington Arms
- Pump House
- Riverstation
- Rockfish
