Casamia’s Peter Sanchez-Iglesias to open first London restaurant
A rooftop hotel restaurant overlooking London’s St Pancras station will be the first permanent foray into the capital for Bristol’s most acclaimed chef.
Peter Sanchez-Iglesias of Michelin-starred Casamia and Paco Tapas will be the chef of the top floor restaurant at The Standard, opening next year.
“I never thought I’d work with a hotel but this is different,” said Peter. “The team are amazing. The people behind this project are hugely creative, open minded. It’s completely the right fit.”

The Standard on Argyle Street in London will be the hotel group’s first opening outside of the USA, where they have five hotels in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.
It will have 266 bedrooms, a ground floor bar facing Euston Road, an indoor / outdoor garden restaurant, and a recording studio and record press, along with the rooftop restaurant helmed by Sanchez-Iglesias.
The Standard CEO Amar Lalvani said: “Peter is one of the most talented and innovative young chefs in the UK, if not the world.
“We are honored to be collaborating with him and are thrilled that The Standard, London is the stage that he has chosen to display his artistry to the world.”
