Cider slushies could be coming to Bristol this summer

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Jul 14, 2021

“Out of this world” cider slushies are promised at a new bottle shop and cider takeaway counter.

The Cider Box, which already has a popular bar and tap room in St Philip’s, have now submitted a license application to open a second site.

The plan is for a bottle shop for ciders from international and regional independent producers.

There will also be takeaway craft cider slushies made with Somerset cider brandy as well as hot spiced cider as the nights draw in.

Cider Box founder Dan Heath hopes to open the new premises at Cargo in Wapping Wharf in time for Bristol Cider Week, which starts on August 10.

“The cider slushies will be out of this world,” says Dan. “Full juice, not from concentrate cider, with added Somerset cider brandy liqueurs and served in bio cups.”
