A deli, caterer and cooking school has been named the UK’s best small shop at an awards ceremony in London.

The awards aims to celebrate “not only the commitment and creativity of entrepreneurial independent retailers on the UK’s high Streets but also, the central role independent retailers play in building local communities”.

Simon said: “The high street is struggling, with record number of shops closing daily, so we’re so delighted to win this and hope that it brings attention to the importance of local, independent shops and the part they play in the community.

“We have an amazing team who welcome all customers and know many regulars by name, creating a lovely atmosphere for anyone who walks through the door.”
