Totterdown local Jon Fowler founded Boona Boona in 2019 and until last year ran it alongside his day job as a project manager in the legal industry.
“I quit my job last year to go full-time and we decided that part of that would be opening this little cafe as an add-on to the coffee roastery,” he said.
The 43-year-old is currently “the roaster, the barista and the delivery driver” – until the cafe, which opened on Friday, is more established.

As well as coffee, the cafe also sells pastries from Cakesmiths and cakes from Crumbs of Keynsham.
The walls are decorated with a mural for Avon Needs Trees, who Boona Boona fundraise for, and a collage of the coffee farming process.
The cafe is currently open Wednesday-Saturday, with Truffled of Totterdown using the space on Sundays to serve roast dinners.
