Coffee served from converted horsebox before new cafe opens

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Jan 12, 2021

While building work continues on their new cafe, a taste of the new business is now being served from a converted horsebox on the pavement outside.

Wayland’s Yard is serving coffee and cinnamon buns as they finish renovations on what will become their first home in Bristol.

The cafe was founded in Worcester in 2016 and also has a branch in Birmingham, promising “to deliver proper coffee and proper food, without compromise”.

Their first Bristol store is opening on Whiteladies Road close to BBC Bristol in premises previously occupied by Brew.

Wayland’s is not the only Bristol business currently serving customers from a horsebox, with Coffee Box on Portwall Lane also utilising the unusual space.
