Coffee#1 to open on Welsh Back

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Jun 25, 2015

Thirsty commuters walking to Temple Meads along Brunel Mile will have a new caffeine fix soon with the opening of Coffee#1 on the corner of Welsh Back and Queen Square.

It will be the fast-growing chain’s sixth Bristol cafe, joining those in Bedminster, Bishopston, Clifton Village, Fishponds and the Gloucester Road.

Coffee#1 opened its first store in Cardiff in 2001 and now has more than 50 coffee shops sprinkled across Wales and the South West.

The new cafe will move into premises recently vacated by Myristica, which has moved to Park Street.

It will also be near Il Bacaro, a newly opened Italian restaurant a few hundred yards away on Welsh Back which aims to bring to Bristol “an authentic taste of Venice” in what used to be Cherry Duck overlooking the Floating Harbour.
