Could this be Bristol’s most beautiful beer garden?
Cocktail pitchers will replace plate spinning and hops will replace handstands as a new beer garden moves onto the front lawn of Bristol’s premiere circus school.
Circomedia’s pub garden space, to be known as Church Pub Garden, will open within the gardens of their Portland Square headquarters.
The picturesque former churchyard of St Paul’s Church will see beers provided by St Anne’s brewery Lost & Grounded, locally brewed spirits, ciders and UK organic wines, and a range of cocktails.
is needed now More than ever
It opens on Friday from 5pm, with the bar then running every Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 10pm and Saturday from 3pm to 10pm, weather permitting, with tables are available on a walk-in basis only.

A Circomedia spokesperson said: “All our event operations have been on ice since Covid hit in March.
“We are really excited to be able to use our unique outdoor space in a safe way, to provide an enjoyable outdoor garden space for the local community and beyond whilst generating much needed funds for the charity.”
Every purchase at Church Pub Garden will go straight back into Circomedia, which will help to buy more circus equipment for their youth circus and academy students to meet new health and safety protocol, as well as vital running costs.
