Crowdfunder launched for new burger restaurant
Following the news that Cargo 2 is set to be extended, the first confirmed business has launched a crowdfunder to help it on its way to become Bristol’s newest burger sensation.
Lemonade aims to be “a small but perfectly formed restaurant serving pleasurably imaginative and tasty food”.
The brains behind the burgers is Alex Hayes, formerly of Rebel Roll on Redcliff Street:
is needed now More than ever
The Lemonade crowdfunder hopes to raise £3,000 before July 26. To donate, visit www.crowdfunder.co.uk/lemonade.
“I’ve been working in Bristol since 2003 where I have had the pleasure and privilege to work with and learn from some great chefs,” Alex says.
“I am making the big leap and set up entirely on my own – with a restaurant squeezed in to a 2m x 6m shipping container at Bristol’s Wapping Wharf development.
“Lemonade will serve around six experimental, high quality burgers, hand cut fries and a range of speciality lemonades and I’m asking for your help to get me there!”
The money will will help pay towards the fit-out costs and equipment.
In return for the pledges, Alex is offering a range of rewards including meals at Lemonade, an invite to the launch party and a visit from me to cook a private dinner in your own home.
