Dishes revealed for tasting menu at Eatdrink24/7 event
When the opportunity arose to design a one-off collaboration tasting menu to be held at Wapping Wharf, Bristol24/7’s first thought was to use the event as a platform for some of Bristol’s best female chefs.
Bristol is home to many wonderful restaurants and chefs, but so often women are underrepresented on panels and in collaborations. Consequently, we’re absolutely delighted that the following four chefs answered our call and agreed to work together to cook a completely unique menu at Junction on Thursday, July 20.
Very few tickets remain for the tasting menu, which can be booked with Yuup, but we’ve also got plenty of Tier 1 tickets which include a pint and a plate of food.
is needed now More than ever
The four chefs behind the tasting menu have revealed what they will be cooking:
Vyck Colsell, COR
After spending years travelling and working around the world, Vyck chose to settle in Bristol where she worked as a sous chef at the Lido before becoming head chef at COR on North Street. When she’s not cooking, she’s usually out walking her dog Phoebe or getting out of Bristol in her campervan.
Vyck will be cooking short rib beef croquettes with a coffee and molasses ketchup.

Kyu Jeong Jeon, Bokman
Kyu was born in Seoul but moved to Paris to study patisserie for ten years when she was 23. Following another stint cooking in Seoul, she moved to the UK and opened Bokman on Nine Tree Hill off Stokes Croft with her husband Duncan, where they specialise in woodoven rotisserie chicken and authentic modern Korean dishes. When Kyu isn’t in the kitchen, she loves walking around Bristol’s green spaces with her dog Bokki.
Kyu will be making jumeokbap; a rice ball stuffed with cured fish roe and rolled in roasted seaweed powder.

Olivia Barry, Adelina Yard
Olivia Barry, chef and co-owner of Adelina Yard on Welsh Back, is a born and bred Bristolian. At her apprenticeship at the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, she was one of just four students to achieve a diploma in professional cookery with distinction. Since then, she has worked at St Albans, The Wolsely, Wright Brothers in Soho and for the Galvin brothers. Prior to returning to her home city to open Adelina Yard, Olivia worked under Angela Hartnett at her Michelin-starred Murano in Mayfair.
Olivia will be preparing hake with a mushroom dashi and summer vegetables.

Hannah Catley, Lockdown Loaves
After spending ten years as a pastry chef in London working in restaurants such as Allegra and Chiltern Firehouse where she became head pastry chef at 21, Hannah moved back to her hometown of Bristol during the pandemic and opened her first bakery Lockdown Loaves in Winterbourne. Lockdown Loaves has now been open for almost three years, with Hannah recently opening Catley’s bakery and cafe in Clifton Village. Outside of work, Hannah spends a lot of time training in the gym.
To round off the menu, Hannah will be baking lemon meringue pie with summer berries.
