East Bristol Bakery opens third site

By Betty Woolerton  Thursday Nov 30, 2023

An Easton-based bakery has opened its third site offering handmade bread, pastries and cakes to Old Market.

The new East Bristol Bakery is located on West Street in what used to be Assembly Bakery.

It has been opened by Rob Hagen who also owns the Public Market on Mivart Street, Easton, and joins his first premises on St Mark’s Road and second in Cargo 2, Wapping Wharf.

Manager of all three sites Steve Rigg said: “It’s really exciting to open our third bakery and everyone so far seems to have welcomed us to the area.”

East Bristol Bakery is best known for its handmade loaves of bread

East Bristol Bakery’s main focus is on high-quality, handmade bread and cake.

Sweet options include salted rye cookies, croissant pudding and our vegan lemon and olive oil cake.

The flour used is organic and comes from Shipton Mill and salt is from the Cornish Sea Salt Company.

For pastries, choose between classic croissants to flaky pain au chocolat among others.

All goods are baked fresh first thing in the morning and transported to Old Market.
