Falafel King returns to centre

By Martin Booth  Friday Jul 1, 2022

Spare a thought for Falafel King. First the centre got dug up. Then the Covid-19 pandemic struck.

But they are back! Within a newly converted shipping container, Falafel King has returned to its familiar location between Broad Quay and the Cascade Steps.

It may say ‘Sabba’s’ on the side of the blue container, but this is the Hebrew word for grandfather and a nod to the family heritage behind Falafel King.

Stop by for a falafel or shawarma, with a choice of either pita or laffa bread; or choose a salad box, shawarma box, cheese fries, loaded fries, chips or baklava.

The original Falafel King opened here in 2000 and in 2013 opened a restaurant on Cotham Hill. The owners also Abunoor Pitta Factory in Wadehurst Industrial Park in St Philip’s, who supply the likes of Eat A Pitta, Murray May’s and Souk Kitchen.

Falafel King – your majesty – welcome home.
