Former restaurant owner sets up veg box delivery service

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Apr 7, 2020

The former co-owner of a popular restaurant and cafe on Stokes Croft has set up a new business.

Dan Ingram and his partner Lea Richards were forced to close Ceres in 2019 due to a number of unforeseen costs, which even saw them losing their home.

But Dan has bounced back – and he has kept the Ceres name for his new venture delivering fruit and vegetables across Bristol and Bath.

Ceres Veg Box Delivery sees Dan rise with the lark to visit Bristol Fruit Market in St Phillip’s Marsh to pick up his orders for the day.

“Produce may vary but it is designed to get you through for a while and be a nice balanced box,” says Dan, who promises to use his contacts within the food industry to ensure quality local suppliers.

A fruit box costs £15, a veg box £20 and a meat box £35, with butter, milk and eggs optional additions.
