Four friends launch new YouTube cooking channel
The owner and head chef of a St Werburgh’s restaurant has joined together with three of his friends to create a new YouTube cooking channel.
“The mission statement is to show the common Jo how to cook alternative but everyday food on fire,” Henry Eldon of The Cauldron told Bristol24/7, with Food on Fire’s first video about how to skin, butcher and then cook a rabbit:
The foursome behind Food on Fire are Henry; Gareth, who is in media production; photographer Jackie; and sound specialist Jon sound.

“We regularly cook and eat together using fires and it just kind of grew from that,” said Henry, who opened The Cauldron on Mina Road in 2016.
“We intend to run a series of videos, some as technical tutorials and some as full on meals. Just wait for the Christmas special that we have planned!”
The Food on Fire team will also be collaborating with local chefs, barbecue enthusiasts and businesses such as Bristol Drum Smokers, an Eastville-based business who make custom-built drum smokers.
Food being cooked in the next video is due to be an Asian-inspired cedar plank roasted sea trout with Wye Valley asparagus.
