Historic pub reopens with new owners and brilliant lineup of beers
When the Llandoger Trow closed its doors in April 2019, there were concerns that it may never reopen as a pub.
It may have taken more than two years, but one of Bristol’s most historic hostelries is now back open under experienced ownership.
The King Street boozer has barely changed cosmetically. But what is different is the beer lineup.
is needed now More than ever
Befitting its location within Bristol’s ‘Beermuda Triangle’, the Llandoger now has more than 20 beers on offer, primarily on keg but also on cask.
These range from Bristol breweries including Bristol Beer Factory, Fierce & Noble and Masquerade, to Bitburger, Köstritzer and Rothaus from Germany,
There is also Bristol Distilling Co’s gin and tonic on draught.

One change at the pub where it is said that Daniel Defoe first met rescued castaway Alexander Selkirk and heard his story is a track and trace QR code on a table close to the front door.
Beer is also ordered to tables in the pub via a QR code which takes drinkers to a website from Bloomsbury Leisure Group, who also own The Lanes and the Crofters Rights as well as a number of pubs and bars in London.
So far it’s just drinks at the pub that can trace its history back to 1664 and under its new owners is writing a new chapter.
