How to enjoy the East Bristol Brewery Trail at home
The May Bank Holiday is usually when some of Bristol’s best breweries roll up their shutters as part of the East Bristol Brewery Trail.
With lockdown restrictions still in place, however, the trail will not be taking place this weekend.
But you can still enjoy beers from the breweries – Arbor, Dawkins, Good Chemistry, Left Handed Giant and Moor – in the comfort of your own home.
is needed now More than ever
You can buy beer direct from all the breweries via their websites:
- Arbor have Monday to Friday next day deliveries for orders received before midday on their can cases and a mixed case. They are also offering NHS workers discounts of £5 per case.
- Dawkins offer draught beer in two or four-pint containers, five-litre mini-kegs, bag-in-box and bottles, with deliveries to all Bristol postcodes subject to a minimum order, and courier deliveries at £6.
- On Thursday, Good Chemistry will have three cask beers in a five-litre bag-in-box available for collection from their brewery in St Philip’s or The Good Measure pub on Chandos Road in Redland. Alternatively, there will be £4 home delivery BS1-BS8 (Clifton only) on Friday. Please pre-order your beer, which will be freshly and safely packaged on Thursday morning.
- Left Handed Giant are doing free same-day deliveries for all orders over £20 received before 2pm. They have cans and five-litre mini-kegs from their St Philip’s brewery and from their Finzels Reach brewpub.
- The taproom at Moor is open for collections Saturday 11am-3pm and Sunday midday-3pm of cans and bag-in box. They are also doing free delivery for NHS staff with orders over £30 (over £50 for everyone else), and free deliver across Bristol on orders over £25.

Good Chemistry co-founder Kelly Sidgwick said: “The brewery trail started on the May Bank Holiday weekend in 2016, as a Bristol Food Connections fringe event.
“We ran it again on the August Bank Holiday weekend for Bristol Beer Week, and have done it twice a year on those weekends every year since.
“In that time we’ve grown to become Bristol’s biggest beer event, attracting people not just from all over Bristol but across the country.
“We work with fantastic local street food vendors too, so it’s not just about the beer, but a big community coming-together in that way Bristol just does so well!”
