Mevalco are a company based in Avonmouth who usually provide top quality Spanish ingredients to the likes of Bravas, Little French, Paco Tapas and Pasta Loco.
Everyday essentials for people who want to cook at home include olive oil, vinegar, dried pulses, olives and pancetta; with special occasion ingredients such as wild prawns, squid, jamon Iberico and Galician beef.
is needed now More than ever
“Mevalco support small scale farmers and producers in Spain,” explains Sam Sohn-Rethel, a former head chef at Bell’s Diner who started his culinary career at Quartier Vert.
“By buying from us the customer is helping these farmers, cheese makers and jamon makers are still operating when the crisis ends.
“People are missing their favourite Bristol independent restaurants. This is an opportunity to have a taste of them again.”

He added: “We are proud to be at the forefront of the restaurant industry, setting new standards in how and what is being imported from the southern Mediterranean.
“We supply some of the UK’s most highly regarded restaurants but we are Bristol-based, a Bristol company and employ 22 proud Bristolians.
“So we are really happy to be delivering our range amazing ingredients to the good folk of Bristol.”
