Hundreds of cats appear on new beer cans

By Martin Booth  Monday Oct 30, 2023

One of the most popular beers from a Bristol brewery has made a welcome return featuring hundreds of cats as part of its unique can design.

All the Cool Cats from St Anne’s-based Lost & Grounded is a 5.1% unfiltered lager, with 10p from each can sold being donated to Bristol Animal Rescue Centre.

There are on average 30 cat photos per can, with eight designs in this series, meaning that around 240 felines feature on the new limited edition cans.

“We last brewed All The Cool Cats in 2021 and during its hiatus we kept being asked when it would make a return,” Lost & Grounded’s Sophie Whitcher told Bristol24/7.

“Everyone loved the beer and original design, including ourselves, so we decided it was time for a comeback!

“Earlier this year we brewed our Dog Day Afternoon special starring many of our customer’s dogs, so we thought it would be fun to invite people to submit photos of their feline friends for a new generation of All The Cool Cats!”

Sophie said that she and the Lost & Grounded team “were blown away” by the response to their call-out for cool cats.

She said: “”As soon as we put the call out online our inbox was filling up with so many photos of everyone’s gorgeous cats!

“We loved looking through all the images and reading through some of the entrants’ personalities. There were some great characters!”
