Inside the new Italian gelateria on Cotham Hill
Daniele Panunzio could not have asked for better circumstances in which to open his gelateria in Bristol, with two heatwaves in the first five weeks.
With over 15 flavours of sorbet and gelato, in the short time it has been open Panunzio says the venue has become a hit with the locals.
Daniele, who is originally from Rome, started making gelato whilst he was still at high school and became fascinated with the process and ingredients.
is needed now More than ever
He opened a shop on the Adriatic coast in Italy at the age of 21 before moving to London in 2012 and then Bristol a few years later.

Panunzio’s is proving popular with the locals
Going on to run pop-up stalls and selling in shops last year, Daniele decided to make Panunzio’s Kitchen a permanent fixture.
While gelato is made on site, Daniele sources the highest quality ingredients from further afield. The organic milk and cream is local, but the pistachios are from Sicily, chocolate from Honduras, coconut from Sri Lanka and vanilla from Madagascar.
Panunzio’s has already earned 11 great taste certificates for the gelato, proudly displayed in the window. They also serve coffee, waffles, smoothies and milkshakes.
