Is this the best new Sunday lunch in Bristol?
It’s already well known that Chandos Road is the best street for food and drink in Bristol.
From top class meals at Wilks and Wilsons to perfect pints at Chums and the Good Measure, the Redland road is in a class of its own.

Now one of the road’s restaurants has introduced a new Sunday brunch and lunch menu which is already a contender for the best in Bristol.

Otira was opened on Chandos Road in Redland in 2017 by Kathryn Curtis and Stephen Gilchrist
Otira already offers two options under one roof: modern innovative dining inspired by head chef and co-owner Stephen Gilchrist’s home country of New Zealand on one side; and an Argentinian-inspired tapas and cocktail bar called Chandos Social on the other.
The two concepts have been combined for their new Sunday brunch, with Argentinian-style breakfast and brunch dishes, and a traditional Sunday roast lunch.
Some of the more unusual menu options include choripan (£7.50) – Argentine chorizo in bread with chimichurri and fried potato; and Buenos Aires style-pancakes with dolce de leche (£7).
The Chandos Social breakfast (£9.50) is made up of more of that Argentinian chorizo, tortilla, smoked bacon, alubias blancas in tomato sauce, and charcoal-toasted sourdough from the Bristol Loaf in Redfield.

Otira is a restaurant of two halves – with both modern innovative dining, and an Argentinian-inspired tapas and cocktail bar
The roasts are come “with a Kiwi twang” and are currently a choice of rare roast rump of beef (£15) or smoked and roasted pork belly (£14).
There is also curried cauliflower, almond and sultana strudel for £11, with all roasts served with a Yorkshire pudding, roast potato and gravy, alongside sharing plates of sweet potato, pumpkin, hispi cabbage and barbecue carrot with honey dukkha dressing.
If you have room for pudding after that, try the pavlova with crème fraiche and blackcurrants (£6.50), chocolate delice (£8.90) or a cheeseboard (£10.90).
Stick to the south American theme with Quilmes lager from Argentina; or a herbal variation of Peru’s national drink, the yerba mate pisco sour.
With the banging new Sunday brunch and lunch at Otira, Bristol’s best road for food and drink has just got even better.
