Island Poké to open first restaurant in Bristol

By Martin Booth  Friday Jul 14, 2023

Bristol’s first Island Poké is set to open in a former Subway.

Island Poké claim to have developed Europe’s first vegan poké, as well as collaborating with other restaurants including Rosa’s Thai Cafe which is also due to open their first Bristol restaurant soon.

Due to open next to the Berkeley pub on Queen’s Road in Clifton, it promises “healthy and nutritious poké bowls and bao made fresh to order”, with more than 50,000 possible combinations to build your own poké bowl.

The business began as a street food stall before opening its first restaurant in London in 2016 and now has more than a dozen locations across London as well as in Edinburgh and Newcastle.

Island Poké already has a location in Montpellier – but this is Montpellier on the Mediterranean coast, not BS6, with ten restaurants in France.
