Josh Eggleton returns to Great British Menu

By Bristol24/7  Friday Jun 12, 2015

Michelin starred chef Josh Eggleton from the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna will represent the South West in this year’s BBC Two’s Great British Menu.

This year’s show will be commemorating the centenary of the Women’s Institute, with Eggleton battling it out against 23 other chefs to win the chance to cook at a prestigious banquet.

Eggleton, who opened Salt & Malt overlooking Chew Valley Lake earlier this year with a second planned to open in Bristol, spent a lot of time talking to WI members in the community around his two restaurants.

He said: “I also took inspiration from my great grandmother who was one of the founder members of the WI in Norfolk.

“The WI is all about bringing people together which has a great synergy with what I love about cooking – getting everyone around the table, talking and enjoying great food.”
