Knowle Hotel’s £300,000 refurbishment

By Sam Gregory-Manning  Thursday Aug 13, 2015

The historic Knowle Hotel is to undergo a £300,000 refurbishment and join the Zazu’s Kitchen, Grace and Greenbank family of businesses.

The pub on Leighton Road, previously owned by former Bristol City striker Paul Cheesley, will be extensively remodeled inside and out by the Zazu’s team alongside Star Pubs & Bars.

The kitchen will be headed up by the former head chef of The Gloucester Old Spot.

“Everything we do is community focused,” said Zazu’s co-founder James Savage of their new acquisition.

“We want The Knowle Hotel to be a great neighbourhood pub, the type of place you want around the corner from where you live.”

The Knowle Hotel will be closed while building work is underway and will re-open in September.
