Michelin-starred inspired matchday menu

By Bristol24/7  Friday Jul 22, 2016

Michelin starred chef Josh Eggleton is partnering with Ashton Gate’s hospitality team to provide Pony & Trap inspired menus on matchdays next season for Bristol City and Bristol Rugby home games.

Eggleton has joined forces with executive head chef George Opondo (both pictured above) following a previous partnership with the Bristol Sport team for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Chief of stadium operations Mark Kelly said: “Having Josh join us for the first season in the ‘new’ Ashton Gate Stadium is tremendously exciting.

“His passion for food and sport is fantastic and to have a chef of his calibre, on our doorstep, wanting to partner with us is a huge compliment.”

Eggleton’s first job was selling programmes at Bristol Rugby for his father’s printing business.

He said: “Ashton Gate is designed to give customers a great hospitality experience and to be a national leader, something I fully support.

“We’re looking to create an excellent customer service and food experience for sports fans.”
