Most of Bristol’s KFCs remain closed
Only two customers were eating at KFC Avonmeads Retail Park on a usually busy Tuesday lunchtime. By Wednesday, there were none as the restaurant had once again closed due to KFC’s nationwide chicken shortage.
Bristol is usually served by a dozen different KFCs, but on Wednesday afternoon only four – on Union Street, Winterstoke Road, Cribbs Causeway and Hengrove Leisure Park – were open for business.
Ongoing delivery issues with DHL have led to the closure of the stores, with Bristol’s fried chicken fans none too pleased.

Before it was forced to close, the KFC at Avonmeads was only serving a limited menu.
James and Nigel were the only sit-down customers tucking into the Colonel’s secret blend of herbs and spices.
“Despite seeing the signs for the limited menu we didn’t have any problems ordering what we wanted,” James told Bristol24/7, adding that he thought the chicken didn’t taste as fresh as usual.
