Mural to celebrate fifth birthday of St Anne’s brewery
The artwork on Lost and Grounded’s flagship beer inspired the bold new mural on the once grey exterior of the brewery on Whitby Road.
Created by Ollie Gillard, AKA Gage Graphics, the new artwork was commissioned to celebrate the brewery’s fifth birthday.
It is an interpretation of Lost and Grounded’s Keller Pils artwork, which was originally illustrated by Alexia Tucker, and incorporates the brewery’s distinctive logo against a beautiful backdrop of mountains.
is needed now More than ever
Annie Clement, the co-founder and creative lead of Lost and Grounded Brewers, says she hopes the mural – that has been planned for a long time – will bring a smile to the faces of people passing on Whitby Road.
“The mural represents our flagship beer Keller Pils and we were celebrating our fifth birthday so it tied in nicely to have the mural done,” said Annie
“We commissioned Ollie Gillard from Gage Graphics to paint the mural. Ollie was assisted by his pal, Maz, and it took around four days to complete.
“We absolutely love it; it’s so enchanting and hope folk get a chance to pop by and see it up close. Or on driving by on Whitby road it puts a smile on people’s faces.”
