Help name Food Connections’ first festival beer
Bristol Food Connections will have its very first festival beer when it returns to the city from June 12 to 23.
Festival organisers are now asking people across Bristol to decide on the name for the beer, which will be a 3.8% hoppy pale ale.
The beer will be made by Butcombe, who have been announced as official Food Connections sponsors and will be donating 10p from every pint sold to create and support community events for the 2020 festival.
is needed now More than ever
Food Connections CEO Claire Peeters said: “We are thrilled to welcome Butcombe to the Food Connections family. Their sponsorship allows us to put on several events across the 10 days of the festival, while the 10p donation will leave a lasting legacy for next year. Let’s raise a pint to that!”
Butcombe Brewery managing director Tim Hubert added: “Partnering with Food Connections is the perfect fit for us, we are delighted to be supporting the festival.”
The winner will be treated to a VIP tour of Butcombe Brewery, some merchandise, a few mini kegs of some of Butcombe beers, two tickets to the launch of Bristol Food Connections in June and the chance to pull the first pint sold at an event in May.
Enter the competition at www.bristolfoodconnections.com/competition-name-bristol-food-connections-festival-beer. Entries close on March 17. The winner will be selected by a panel from Food Connections and Butcombe, and announced in May.
