New burger restaurant replaces former burger restaurant

By Betty Woolerton  Tuesday May 2, 2023

The sign for Om Burger on Stokes Croft may have been replaced by one for Burger Theory but it’s not the end of the former restaurant.

As well as Burger Theory, the space on the corner of City Road provides a ghost kitchen for Om Burger “to keep the veggie brand alive on Uber Eats”.

Burger Theory promises to serve classic burgers as well as craft beers, cocktails and more.

The new restaurant is the second permanent branch in Bristol from “creative burger chef” Rory Perriment.

The new Burger Theory has indoor dining for 54 people and outdoor seating for up to 20 underneath the famous Yellow Face Lady mural.

“Our new restaurant has a vibrant, and cosy feel, furnished with comfy seating and decorated with local artwork,” the Burger Theory team wrote.

“We are serving all of our classic beef, chicken and veggie burgers, as well as craft beers, cocktails, CBD drinks, loaded mac and cheese, epic desserts and more.

“We’re family/Vege/Vegan-friendly so everyone is welcome to enjoy our easy going and relaxed new restaurant.

“If the sun is shining, you can dine out on our terrace where you can people watch and soak up some rays and the hustle and bustle of stokes croft under the famous stink fish mural (We don’t think our very own by Molly Mural is bad either!).”

Perriment founded Burger Theory in 2012, who travelled around festivals and food fairs around the country before running pop-up kitchens in Bristol and eventually opening the first Burger Theory on St Stephen’s Street in the Old City 2017.
