New cafe serving ‘refined’ British food opening

By Betty Woolerton  Sunday Mar 5, 2023

A new cafe is opening in south Bristol, “serving classic British food at a refined level”.

Lucky Strike is being opening by Tom Montgomery and Matthew Nicholson, who met working at the Soukkitchen on North Street.

With new, red and white signage erected and work going on inside, the East Street venue is set to open later in March.

The owners said: “Our goal is to be a great neighbourhood restaurant, serving classic British food at a refined level, with an affordable price point.”

“A new opening on East Street, Bedminster, Lucky Strike is a restaurant serving refined, classic British comfort food in a bistro environment. The menu will also contain some lesser known and traditional British dishes.”
