By Martin Booth  Wednesday Jul 13, 2022

Bristol Old Vic promise “a tantalising new food and drink offering” in its indoor and outdoor cafe areas.

A relaunched space is called Kitchen + Bar and features “a vibrant range of locally sourced, deli-fresh food that complements its great coffee and fabulous selection of drinks”.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served from Monday to Saturday, overseen by head chef Luke Spencer-Harrop, who has previously been head chef at the Bank Tavern, the Inn on the Green and the Corkage in Bath.

Kitchen + Bar is a partnership between the historic theatre and Bristol Event Catering,  company that was founded in 2020 by former Grain Barge general manager, James Caesar.

The launch menu includes the likes of Iranian vegetable stew, chocolate babka French toast, sandwiches served in focaccia rolls and a selection of Pippin doughnuts every Friday.
