By Martin Booth  Wednesday Aug 23, 2023

A new noodle bar with karaoke rooms is opening soon in Bristol city centre.

Meet Up’s sign promises “northern cuisine and home cooking” as well as KTV – the Chinese term for karaoke.

Meet Up will be opening on Marsh Street in a former barristers chambers that still has Marsh Street Chambers above one of its doors.

The ground floor and basement of the building was most recently whisky bar Black Rock, which opened in 2019 but did not reopen after the pandemic.

Black Rock’s USP was a bar made from a 216-year-old English oak tree. It is unknown whether the tree remains in situ.
