New restaurant to give away 500 free pizzas

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Nov 8, 2017

A new pizza restaurant opening on Saturday is giving away 100 free pizzas every day for its first five days.

Franco Manca, found within the former TSB bank on Clare Street, is part of a growing national chain with 30 restaurants in London and seven across the south of England.

It is owned by David Page, who started his career as a restaurateur by building up 14 franchised Pizza Express sites and later ran brands including Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Bombay Bicycle Club.

Franco Manca features a menu of just seven Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas that cost from £4.95 for the tomato, garlic and oregano, to  £8.25 for the spicy lamb sausage, mozzarella, buffalo ricotta, yellow piennolo tomato and basil.

There are also sharing platters, daily changing specials and desserts including tiramisu and lemon almond cake.

Limited to one per person, free pizzas will be handed out on a first-come-first-served basis for those dining in only. The first 50 pizzas will be available from opening with the final 50 at 6pm each day.
