New street food market to open its doors this weekend
Dim sum, slow-smoked pork cheeks, Turkish meze, Indonesian street food and Moroccan wraps will all be on offer on Friday at the opening evening of Bristol’s first indoor night market.
Corner 77 on Stokes Croft from the team behind Bravas, Bakers & Co and Cargo Cantina promises great food, great service and great atmosphere.
The first 50 people through the door of the former Meat Liquor from 5pm on Friday will be treated to a free Freedom beer, with food being served from 6pm.

On Saturday there will be samples of tequila from El Jimador from 5pm, with the food on offer seeing tacos from Cargo Cantina as well as the return of Low n Slow, Onion Garlic and Natural Piada alongside Dutch-style skin-on fries from Double Dutch.
“We’ve got a cracking line up of street food for our opening weekend and with some special tastings at the bar too we hope it’ll be a buzzing atmosphere for people to come down and enjoy our unique new home for independent food and drink,” said Corner 77 co-owner Imogen Waite.
“Our hope is that Corner 77 will be somewhere for everyone to come and relax with friends or family, enjoy great food, service and atmosphere and that the street food and events we host will mean there’s an ever-changing feast here for our customers.
“This will give the people of Bristol chance to try what this city’s exciting food scene has to offer here, as well as giving food businesses, pop-ups and supper clubs in the area the opportunity to showcase what they do.”

Imogen, whose husband and Season + Taste co-owner Kieran recently completed a trek in Nepal to raise money for Action Against Hunger, added: “It’s a really exciting prospect and the support we’ve had in Bristol for the Corner so far has been completely humbling.”
Events coming up at Corner 77 include pop-ups, kitchen takeovers and events such as a bottomless brunch, tapas takeover by the Bravas team and a crab shack.
Corner 77 will be open for coffee from Extract and drinks at the bar from 11.30am on Tuesday to Sunday.
