One of Bristol’s oldest restaurants to close
Regular diners have responded with sadness to the news that Saturday’s service will be the last at Bauhinia.
Having been open since 2004, the pan-Asian restaurant in Clifton Village is among the oldest restaurants in the city.
But the owners are now calling it a day, saying that they want to spend more time with their family “and enjoying life”.
is needed now More than ever
“After 17 years of Bauhinia, it’s time for us to say goodbye,” they wrote in a social media post.
“The last year and a half during the Covid pandemic has been a difficult time for everyone, but it has also given us time to reflect on the important things – family and enjoying life.
“Thank you to all our customers for your support. There have been many great friendships made over the years.
“Last but not least, we want to thank all our staff old and new. Many of you have made lifelong friendships, some even married with babies living in all different parts of the world. You will always be part of the Bauhinia family.”
