EXCLUSIVE: Pieminister to open new restaurant
Pieminister is to open its first new restaurant in Bristol for more than 10 years in the centre.
Due to open on Broad Quay in early March, it will have more than 60 covers, open from lunch until evening seven days a week, and alongside Pieminister’s award-winning pies there will be a selection of sides, snacks, salads, hot pots, craft ales, cider, cocktails and even ice cream pies.
The inside will be similar to the Stokes Croft restaurant with some new features promised.
is needed now More than ever
It comes after a buoyant 2015 for the company founded by friends Jon Simon and Tristan Hogg which saw unprecedented growth.
At least five new restaurants are planned to open this year, including one already announced in Nottingham.
They will join restaurants in Stokes Croft, Cardiff, Leeds and Manchester, alongside smaller stalls in St Nick’s Market, Oxford, Exeter, Stoke-on-Trent and three in London.
Pieminister this week launched a new meat-free pie campaign, kicking-off with a recipe competition to create a new meat-free pie good enough to lead their British Pie Week celebrations this year from March 7 to 13).
The competition to submit a meat-free pie recipe is open at www.pieminister.co.uk/pieweek until midnight on February 7.
Future plans also include promoting Meat Free Mondays in all their cafes and restaurants, including the new Pieminister on Broad Quay, which is recruiting for staff.
