Pizza is Lovely to return in partnership with Left Handed Giant
A pizza business that was one of the few highlights of lockdown is making a hugely welcome return to Bristol.
Pizza is Lovely, originally based out of the Orchard Inn in Spike Island, is taking on the woodfired oven at the Left Handed Giant brewpub in Finzels Reach, with the LHG team also promising that other venues are on the horizon for this new collaboration.
Taking over from current kitchen residents Mission Pizza, Pizza is Lovely founder Julian Guy will be making vegetarian and vegan Neapolitan pizzas at the brewpub from mid-September, with his renowned Detroit and New York style pizzas set to be the focus of future plans.

“Closing our doors last year was so hard to do but it was clear to me that the business needed more financing and a better strategy to flourish,” said Julian.
“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with LHG to bring my pizza back to Bristol!
“Many of the LHG team were regular customers of mine and it’s clear that they share my vision and have the skills and know-how to drive this business forward.”

Left Handed Giant chairman Bruce Gray said that he “couldn’t be more excited to partner with Pizza is Lovely for our upcoming projects”.
Bruce added: “I have been a huge fan of everything Julian does and was gutted when he had to close operations down.
“His passion for pizza and quality of product deserves a platform, and we can’t wait to provide that at our Brewpub and future venues.
“Pizza is Lovely is a truly unique and stand out offering, and I am excited for our customers to experience what they bring to the table.”
