Plant-based soul food pop-up restaurant opens in historic surroundings

By Martin Booth  Monday Jan 25, 2021

While touring is out of the question due to the coronavirus pandemic, two Bristol musicians have opened a vegan pop-up kitchen in Redcliffe.

Turbowolf bassist Lianna Davies and her partner Aidan Sinclair, a drummer with bands including The Violent Hearts and The Computers, have swapped their instruments for pots and pans.

LD’s Kitchen serve up what Lianna and Aidan describe as vegan “food for the soul”.

“We may not be able to tour but at least we can bring you all some badass food,” wrote Lianna on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

LD’s Kitchen is currently operating out of Chatterton’s Cafe on Redcliffe Way from Thursday to Saturday, with a £3 delivery charge.

Their menu includes vegan chicken breast and wings, pork-style seitan ribs, fried tofu, mac’c’cheese, and barbecue beans.
