Popular Cheltenham Road cafe reopens
Soon after 10am on Tuesday morning, half a dozen blue metal chairs are placed on the pavement and with the turn of a key and a sharp pull, a hatch is opened to entice passers-by.
After a year’s unexpected absence due to a car crashing into its frontage, Emmeline on Cheltenham Road is officially back in business.
On the cafe’s counter this morning are a couple of Portuguese tortillas made by Tucha’s Kitchen who also cook the Sunday roast at the Pipe & Slippers pub almost next door.
is needed now More than ever
Emmeline owner Shona Graham and her team prepare for only their second day back in business as customers new and old pop into the cafe or get their coffee order through the hatch.
It’s as if they have never been away.
