Popular harbourside bar and restaurant to open second site

By Martin Booth  Tuesday Aug 27, 2019

Already a deli, shop, cafe, bar and restaurant, a popular harbourside business will be opening a second site in the autumn.

Spoke & Stringer in Brunel Quay opposite the SS Great Britain will be bringing much of what makes it such a unique business to its new location.

Going into a unit on Whiteladies Road that was most recently occupied by Happy Bird, the second Spoke & Stringer will focus on its deli and office catering service, as well as having a shop.

“Next door to Boots at Clifton Down Shopping Centre we’ll be bringing some of our favourite features from our harbourside site with a small retail offering also which has always been a part of our ‘Ride Culture’ identity,” Spoke & Stringer owner Kristian Crews told Bristol24/7.

“Fresh locally sourced ingredients across a concise menu that’s full of flavour either from our deli counter or the kitchen. Brunch, lunch, pre-cinema evening offerings with great coffee, juice, beer and wine.

“We’re looking forward to being a part of the community up there and bringing our unique offering to the area.”

Spoke & Stringer are already advertising for staff in their new Whiteladies Road premises
