Restaurant owner pledges to find diners who he claims did a runner without paying

By Martin Booth  Thursday Apr 4, 2019

“I will find you!” This is the pledge of a Bristol restaurant owner after a group of people visited for dinner on Wednesday evening and allegedly scarpered without paying their bill.

Henry Eldon, owner of The Cauldron on Mina Road in St Werburgh’s, posted photographs of the diners from CCTV footage in a hope to find out who they are.

He also promises a £100 reward for anyone who can identify them.

“This group of bastards decided to literally run from their bill this evening!” Henry wrote. “You have effectively stolen from me & my wife…

“I will find you! Run & hide bitches! £100 reward for a name or head on a stick!”

In the comments underneath the tweet, Henry is asked is it it possible they aren’t bastards and genuinely forgot?

But he is adamant, replying: “Sadly, definitely not. The footage shows them stood outside laughing and joking about doing it first. We are getting slammed at the time.”

Henry has previously hit the national news for shaming no-shows on social media, a recurring problem for Bristol’s restaurateurs.
