Robert Del Naja to sell print to raise money for Bristol Food Union
All proceeds from a rare release of a new print by Massive Attack’s Robert del Naja will be donated to the Bristol Food Union’s Feed the Frontline project.
The screenprint, called Protection, is only on sale until midnight on May 17. Each £120 print will be signed by Del Naja, also known as 3D, with ten picked at random to be spray finished by the artist and musician.

Protection is the first print release from Robert Del Naja for several years
The support follows Massive Attack’s £10,000 donation to get the Food Union crowdfunder underway, with band members volunteering time in the kitchen and community gardens to help support the initiative.
is needed now More than ever
Food Union organiser, Aine Morris, said: “In true Bristol spirit, Massive Attack have been incredibly generous with their support of the Food Union since the project began.
“Food, art and music go a long way towards making Bristol the city we all know and love, so it seems only natural that during this time of upheaval and uncertainty these sectors have come together to collaborate and make sure that people get fed.”
Protection is also the name of Massive Attack’s second studio album, released in 1996.
This is the first time that Del Naja has released a new print in some years, and follows hot on the heels of Banksy – who some rumours think is one and the same person – unveiling his own tribute to the NHS.
