Surviving the buffet

By Adam Burrows  Thursday Jan 5, 2017

Spending money on an experience like a great meal out is one of the most rewarding paths to happiness. Dr Helen McCarthy’s series of Delicious Seminars shows you a different way to eat out and really enjoy your meal even if you’re watching your weight.

  • Have you wasted money on expensive meals out because you haven’t enjoyed them?
  •  Do you struggle to know what to order in restaurants?
  • Do you find it hard to really enjoy meals out when you’re dieting?

If you simply love good food
You’ll learn the tools you need to rediscover the joys of eating good food.  You’ll learn valuable techniques in a real life group environment, so you’ll remember what you learn, and be able to apply it straight away.

If you’re dieting
Eating out in restaurants, coping with buffets, and facing the dessert menu all crank up the pressure. Occasions that should be pleasurable become stressful as diets are broken and guilt piles in.  It doesn’t have to be like that. There’s a way of approaching eating out that puts enjoying food centre stage, and puts you back in control of what you eat.

The next event, Surviving The Buffet, is on February 11. It takes place in the private dining room of the Kensington Arms, which was recently taken over by Michelin starred chef Josh Eggleton. It’s a unique seminar demonstrating how to maximise your enjoyment of a buffet meal, while enjoying a delicious savoury buffet including drinks, tea and coffee.

What they said about previous events:

“I learned a lot… the nature of the teaching (learn AS you eat) very helpful”

“Delicious! If that’s part of a diet, I’m happy!”

Dr Helen McCarthy is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society with 25 years of experience helping people change how they think and feel. She set up Delicious Dieting in 2011 in order to help people change how they eat to help them lose weight or simply have a better relationship with food.
