Swoon to open second shop in Bristol
The ice cream-shaped hole at Wapping Wharf which has been there since the closure of Oliver’s is soon going to be filled by a familiar favourite.
Swoon will be opening within a pair of converted shipping containers in June, selling their much-loved gelato as well as new soft serve ice cream.
For those in need of a gelato fix in the meantime, Bertha’s Pizza at the top of Gaol Ferry Steps has a regularly changing selection of flavours on their menu.

Since opening their first location on College Green in 2016, Swoon have opened other shops in Bath, Cardiff, Oxford and Selfridges in London.
“From the moment we saw the plans for Wapping Wharf when it was initially being set up we knew we wanted to be part of it,” said Swoon founder Bruno Forte.
“Despite our growing brand, Bristol has always felt like home, so we jumped at the opportunity to join the community at Wapping Wharf.”

Stuart Hatton, managing director of Umberslade, the developer behind Wapping Wharf, added: “Swoon has an incredible reputation around the city and beyond, and everyone we’ve spoken to has been over the moon to hear the news that they’re joining our community, so we can’t wait for them to open.
“Summer at Wapping Wharf is really something special, and best enjoyed with a gelato, so their arrival is perfect timing!”
