Thali to reopen and launch new delivery service
Thali will reopen its restaurant on St Mark’s Road on Friday, August 14.
The Indian restaurant will not only reopen its physical space but also launch a new delivery service.
The new delivery service will transport Thali’s tiffins around east Bristol on a specially designed cargo bike.

Delivering meals in Easton, Montpelier, St George, St Agnes, St Paul’s and Eastville, staff will deliver up to ten tiffins per trip and is part of Thali’s new “bike tiffin revolution” campaign.
The campaign will offer a tiffin for two for £13 and will be filled with rice, seasonal subji, dahl and a curry.
The restaurant hopes that it “will contribute towards saving the planet”; people will be able to order a zero waste meal and have it distributed through an environmentally-friendly bike.

As well as delivering sustainable Indian meals via bike, the St Mark’s Road restaurant will also be reopening.
“We can’t wait to be back in business as usual, it is a challenging moment for all hospitality industry, but we are ready,” says owner Pepe Blanco.
Coronavirus measures have been introduced to ensure the safety of customers and staff, including face shields for employees, plastic screens at the counter and menus viewable via QR codes. Evening dinners will also need to be booked in advance as there are fewer tables.
Thali Easton is also participating in the Government’s “Eat Out to Help Out” scheme, which offers Government-sponsored 50 per cent discounts on dine-in food and soft drinks, up to the value of £10 per person.

“We have been working very hard to implement efficient methods to prevent any Covid-19 risk,” Pepe adds. “We will keep updating our measures to create the safest space for our customers and staff.”
