Brewery collaborates with Eatchu for new Japanese lager

By Safiya Bashir  Thursday Jun 17, 2021

Bristol’s newest brewery is launching a new beer in collaboration with Eatchu.

The Japanese-style lager will be served up at Newtown Park‘s HQ in St Phillip’s, paired with Eatchu’s famous gyozas.

Head down to the craft brewery in the Wadehurst Industrial Estate on Saturday and be the first to try the rice lager with notes of honey and freshly brewed jasmine tea.

On their collaboration with Eatchu, Newtown co-founder Macca said: “As well as our love for beer, as a team, we have a huge passion & love for food, so we are always talking about pairings for our beers.

“I had my sights on brewing a Japanese lager since we opened the brewery in November and our friends at Eatchu was the first thought that popped in to our heads when we discussed it. They are the undisputed champions of Gyoza, so we had to get them on board!”

“There’s big synergy between us and Eatchu play a big part in the independent food scene in Bristol so to get a chance to work with them is amazing. This won’t be the last collaboration with great local producers that you see from us.”
