Old Bookshop opens up kitchen doors
From the beginning of next month, guest chefs, pop-ups and street food traders will be invited to take over the kitchen at The Old Bookshop.
“There’s nobody else doing anything like it on our end of North Street,” part-owner Kath says. “We’re not like other places; we’re not a pub, we’re not a bar, we’re not a restaurant – so we thought we could try doing something different.”
The bar-come-restaurant-come-café-come-music venue has been in contact with Bristol street food collective Beats and are hoping to get a few of their members on board with the experiment.
“It’s going to be a real mixture. So maybe we’ll get someone in for a month, a week, a day,” Kath explains.
is needed now More than ever
“We’ve got a guest chef coming in for the whole month who we’re really excited about, but we’re not able to say who it is yet.”
Curious diners won’t have long to wait, as the first guest chef will be heading up The Old Bookshop kitchen from the start of March.
